How do I register for IEC?

There are two ways of getting your IEC code.

1. Online method

  • Visit the website of Directorate general of foreign trade
  • Click on “services” on the menu bar.
  • Tap on “IEC” & then apply “Online application IEC” button.
  • A new window will open where you need to fill in your PAN number.
  • Choose “New IEC application”
  • Upload the necessary documents required
  • Click on “Director” to fill up the details of company’s directors.

  • Fill in your details in Part A, B, C & D
  • Self-attest all the pages.
  • Self-attested copy of your PAN Card, Bank Passbook & 2 photographs.
  • Demand draft in favour of DGFT regional office of INR 250.
  • Send all the documents to the regional DGFT office.
  • You will receive IEC allotment letter once all your documents are verified.
